Illustration Friday

For those of you who haven't clued into Illustration Friday' yet, give it a go. It's a great way to test your skills and push yourself. Just do a drawing, web it up somewhere, post the location on IllustrationFriday.com, and watch the comments and vistors stream in.

[I tried to keep kosher by doing a page-length comic based on it during the first 6 months of 2006 but the sheer time involved (that and doing it bilingually) led me to drop out after June. http://www.qdcomic.com/archive.htm ]
If I continue, I'll stick to sketches!

Everyone's got one

Good lord, Colin Wilson's got a blog.

Having worked in the UK and commercial Euro comics, he is pretty much off the radar of the indie-DIY-longarm stapler set in Australia. He makes money from comics though; might be worth a look.

TANGO 7 update

Dear friends and comic book makers,

in case you are just finishing off your Tango7 piece, or despairing
because that end of June deadline has passed, do not weep but rather,
re-grasp that pen!

We now have a launch date - September 28: it will be part of a comic
book art exhibition in the Melbourne Fringe Festival, more information
to come later.

So, the deadline has been re-set to July 31, which will give us time
to get the book assembled and printed.

So, there is still time!  Finish your piece!  Start it!  And have it
in to me by the end of the month.  I have already received a wealth of
great material for this issue - as I say each time, "This is the best
one yet..."

Be part of it.

The contributors' info is here:

I look forward to seeing your work.

Regards,

Bernard
