Sky Noise from Melbourne points our way to the Wooster Collective:
“Late last year we invited a group of our favorite artists to try their hand at creating a series of narratives featuring their characters and street iconography. Many of the artists had never tried adapting their work into a storyline, so the project became equal parts challenging, exciting, and – ultimately – extremely creative and rewarding.
The results of this experiment have just been published in our first “Wooster Comix” The book features a group of over 35 artists from around the world.

YEP — another missed deadline due to ‘is it that time already? ‘ syndrome on a few fronts. included also are “you aint no dancer”, “true porn”, “tango”, “Free Radicals” and “SPX” anthologies aswell as several innovative group shows and opportunities to make greater expectations of everyday happenings. Speaking of street art and graffiti, (which always has a bit of comix overlap) ACB notes that Melbs will be taking a ‘zero tolerance approach. Shame!

yes – i hear the ‘zero tolerance’ is especially prominent in areas that are already void of ‘human noise’ unfortunatly. This means ads can still go up in the suburbs but if the kids find a space to get inspired in instead of playing their overpriced gadgets they should have got for chrissy – they will become criminals. Much like the greater part of our ‘cultural leaders’ in Nth America, these habits will turn a possible ‘talented’ artist into a life of jail if found more than once.Yep/mf.
