Seattle, as you may know, is the home of alternative comics uber-publisher Fantagraphics.

There are various cartoonists living in Seattle, including the members of the Fine Comics collective. Another group, which draws its members from the whole Northwestern region is Cartoonists Northwest.

Some of the best known cartoonists who live in Seattle are Peter Bagge, Jim Woodring, and Roberta Gregory. Gary Larson, world famous creator of the Far Side is said to live in Seattle. In future postings, I’ll introduce some of the lesser known (but should be better known) cartoonists residing here in “the Jet City”…

This is David Lasky writing from Seattle, WA, USA. I’m going to be “guest DJ-ing” here at Comics Lifestyle while John is working at KOMIK CAMBODIA. Expect a ‘Pacific Northwest’ flavor to the entries here for the next two weeks or so.

I’m a cartoonist, painter, and some-time poet. I currently deliver organic bread for a living. Anyone unfamiliar with my comics can see some samples here. A google search will yield a few more items. I recently had this comic published in Seattle’s hip weekly paper, The Stranger.
