Popperbox presents Glassbox

From Stikman (Matt Huynh):
First there was the announcement:

Hi everyone! I’m absolutely thrilled to finally announce a very special new artistic endeavour, Popperbox.

Popperbox is an artists’ collective of my favourite creatives and dearest friends – William Loeng, Haline Ly, Tak Tran, Tina Tran and Kevin Vo. We’ve each found success individually in our respective fields of illustration, graphic and web design, fine art and comics, but formed Popperbox as a vehicle for collaborative efforts in live performance, new media art, installation art and all the other silly experiments that we could never pull off by our selves.

There’s so much to tell you and so much coming up! In the meantime, please feel free to browse our site and sign up to our mailing list at www.popperbox.com. Trust me, it’ll be worth it!

Then there were the events: Timebox microsite , Lightbox minisite, Lattice: Sydney, and much more…
The press: The Design Crowd , Realtime Arts

Now:

I’m excited to finally announce Popperbox‘s first public event, Glassbox.

Live drawing all over the building’s glass facade, food, DJs, bean bags, digital displays, exhibited work, comics + prints for sale
… and you’re invited!

Glassbox is a live drawing performance on the windows of the Cabravale Leisure Centre foyer – performed by the members of Popperbox.

There’ll also be a digital component where you can use LED pens as “magic wands” to create trailing light patterns across the walls.

You can also share your stories of Cabramatta and Canley Vale on a giant map and “create” the city from your limitless imagination.

So…come see, hang out, draw, share stories, chat, have fun, mingle, and eat – free food and drinks =)
